Let's see your ideal smile!
Having a smile you’re proud of can change your life. At Simply Smiles, there are few things we like to do more than restore our patients’ confidence and self-esteem. We would love to be part of the journey to your ideal smile.
Cosmetic Options to Consider
Porcelain veneers are very similar to fake nails. Basically, they're very thin slips of custom-made porcelain that fit perfectly over your front teeth. Veneers can help:
- Worn down teeth
- Badly discolored or stained teeth
- Small chips or cracks
- Teeth that are only a little out of position
- Whiten teeth when bleaching isn’t a realistic option
Getting veneers usually involves two or three visits to Simply Smiles. The first is a consultation with the dentist. Before we dive in, we want to make sure that veneers really are the best way to get you your dream smile. During the second visit, we prep your teeth for veneers. This involves removing a small amount of tooth structure while using local anesthetic. Veneers are usually only ~0.5 mm thick (a little thicker than the wall of a mason jar), so only a tiny fraction of tooth needs to be removed. Once your teeth are prepped, we take detailed impressions that the dental lab will use to make your bespoke veneers. Even if it's hardly any tooth at all that needs to be removed, we don't want you walking around looking anything but your best, so the doctor places temporary veneers (this also helps protect your teeth) while we wait on the lab. On the third visit, you try in your new veneers. Before they're bonded to your teeth, we make sure that you're head over heels about them. If there are any issues, no matter how minor, we can send them back to the lab for adjustments. This might mean a small delay and another visit to the office, but e, like you, won't be satisfied with anything less than perfection. Once everyone's satisfied and we're ready to cement in your new smile, the tooth surface is lightly etched to create a stronger bond between your tooth and the veneer before it is permanently set.w
Eating and drinking discolors teeth. Top culprits: coffee, tea, red wine and soda. Teeth also naturally darken as we age. But you don’t need to put up with a dingy smile--if your teeth have lost their sparkle, we'd love to help!
Getting your smile back to its former glory is often as simple as having professional whitening treatment. At Simply Smiles, we use top quality whitening products that produce amazing results.
Ever tried over-the-counter whitening kits? Then you’ll already know that they're ineffective at best and damaging to your teeth at worst. That's why we always suggest professional whitening.
Every treatment is fully customized to minimize side-effects and get you the results you want. In-office treatments are excellent for providing an immediately whiter smile, but a lot of our patients seem to prefer our take-home whitening kits (more about them below!).
In-house whitening involves a single trip to the office. You might have to wear your trays for a while, but we'll provide entertainment and good company all through the wait for your brighter smile!
Whitening can produce awesome results, but if you have a lot of fillings, crowns or veneers, it might not be your best option. Neither in-house whitening or our take-home trays will change the color of restorations like crowns and fillings like they will for natural teeth. In order to ensure your pursuit of a whiter smile isn't a waste of your time and money, we'll make sure you have a consultation with Dr. Gekht or Dr. Rivera before we give you the thumbs up to get started. During that complimentary consult, the doctor can go over your options, and tell you what she thinks is your best path to a whiter smile.
Our take-home whitening kits are custom-made for your teeth and produce great results in about two weeks. Take-home kits use a lower strength whitening gel (great for those of us with sensitive teeth!), so results take a little longer than in-house whitening. Part of what makes these kits popular is that they produce in-house-like results at a lower price.
Each take-home kit contains trays that are custom-made using impressions of your teeth. That means the trays will fit perfectly, so the whitening gel doesn't leak or spludge. All you have to do is put a little gel in the trays (Don't worry! We'll show you exactly how much to use and how to apply it effectively), and wear them for as little as 30 minutes twice a day, or, if you want, overnight. After a few days, you'll be noticing a newer, brighter smile.
All orthodontia means is a way of correcting the positions of your teeth and bite. If you're self-conscious about a crooked smile, an over/underbite, or crowding (when all your teeth seem to be trying to get to the same place in your mouth at the same time), Invisalign might be the ticket to getting your mojo back. Unlike traditional wire braces, these clear aligners use the very latest orthodontic technology to discreetly straighten your teeth. Find out more about Invisalign.
