Invisalign & Clear Aligners in Sarasota
Straighten your teeth with clear, removable trays in place of brackets and wires. We are a certified Invisalign provider and also offer SureSmile and Candid, with $500 off after your consultation.

What It Is
Clear aligners are thin, see-through trays that fit snugly over your teeth. Each set is shaped a little differently from the last, so your teeth move gradually toward their planned position. You take the trays out to eat, brush and floss, then put them back in.
Simply Smiles is a certified Invisalign provider and also works with SureSmile and Candid aligners. Having more than one system lets your dentist match the aligner to your teeth, your goals and your budget. An iTero digital scan creates a 3D model of your teeth and shows the expected result before you start.
Aligners can treat crowding, gaps and many bite problems in teens and adults. They work only when worn about 22 hours a day, so success depends a great deal on you. Complex cases may need a different approach, and we will tell you if that applies.
Who It Is For
- Crowded or overlapping teeth
- Gaps between teeth
- Teeth that shifted after braces years ago
- A crossbite or other bite problem your dentist says aligners can treat
- Teens and adults who prefer not to wear brackets and wires
- Healthy teeth and gums, free of untreated cavities and gum disease
Benefits
- Hard to notice. The trays are clear, so most people will not see that you are straightening your teeth.
- Removable. Take them out for meals, brushing and flossing, with no food restrictions.
- Three aligner systems. Invisalign, SureSmile and Candid give your dentist more ways to fit treatment to you.
- Preview your result. An iTero scan builds a 3D model of your teeth and shows the planned outcome.
- Smooth and wire-free. There are no brackets or wires to rub against your cheeks and lips.
- A verified saving. Receive $500 off clear aligners after your consultation.
How It Works
What to expect, step by step.
- Consultation and scan. We examine your teeth and gums and take an iTero digital scan. You see a 3D model of your teeth and the expected result.
- Your treatment plan. Your dentist reviews the digital plan with you and orders your aligners once you approve it.
- Wearing your aligners. Wear each set about 22 hours a day and switch to the next on the schedule your dentist gives you. Small tooth-colored buttons are sometimes added to help certain teeth move.
- Checkups. We see you about every six to eight weeks to check progress and hand over your next trays.
- Retainers. After treatment, you will likely need a retainer to help keep your teeth in their new position.

Cost and Insurance
The cost of clear aligners depends on the aligner system, how much movement your teeth need and how long treatment lasts. A short cosmetic correction costs less than a full bite correction. You will have a clear, written fee after your consultation and scan.
We offer $500 off clear aligners after your consultation. Many dental plans with orthodontic benefits contribute toward aligners, and we will check yours. We file claims with all PPO plans and are in network with Delta Dental Premier. Financing is available through CareCredit, Cherry, Wisetack and Proceed Finance.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does clear aligner treatment take?
Minor corrections can take a few months. More involved cases often take a year or longer. Your dentist will give you an estimate based on your scan.
How many hours a day do I wear them?
About 22 hours a day. Take them out only to eat, drink anything other than water, brush and floss.
Does it hurt?
You may feel pressure or tenderness for a day or two when you start a new set. This is a sign that your teeth are moving, and it usually passes quickly.
Which is right for me: Invisalign, SureSmile or Candid?
Each system has its strengths, and the right one depends on your teeth and goals. Your dentist will explain the differences and make a recommendation at your consultation.
Who is not a candidate for aligners?
Cavities and gum disease need to be treated before you start. Some complex bite or jaw problems are better treated another way, and we will tell you if that applies to you.
Does insurance cover Invisalign?
It may, if your plan includes orthodontic benefits. We file with all PPO plans and will check your coverage for you.
Do you also offer braces?
Dr. Gekht also offers Fast Braces, which use brackets and a wire. [Confirm with office: Fast Braces still offered] Ask at your consultation which option suits your teeth.
Will I need a retainer afterward?
Most likely. Teeth tend to drift back over time, and a retainer helps hold your result.
