Full-Mouth Reconstruction in Sarasota
When many teeth are worn, broken or missing, a full-mouth reconstruction rebuilds them with one coordinated plan. The goal is a comfortable bite and a smile you are glad to show.

What It Is
Full-mouth reconstruction means restoring most or all of the teeth in both jaws. It is for people whose teeth have been lost, broken down or worn away to the point that eating and smiling are difficult. It is a series of treatments, planned together so they work as a whole.
Your plan may include crowns to rebuild damaged teeth, bridges or dental implants to replace missing ones, and dentures where few or no natural teeth remain. Planning starts with a full set of records: photos, X-rays, a CT scan and an intraoral scan.
This is a big decision, and there is rarely only one way to do it. Dr. Kira Gekht will explain your options, the order of treatment and what each choice means for time and cost. If you already have a plan from another office, we offer free second opinions.
Who It Is For
- Several missing teeth in one or both jaws
- Teeth worn short or flat from years of grinding
- Many broken, cracked or heavily filled teeth
- Old dental work that is failing in several places
- A bite that feels uncomfortable or makes chewing hard
- A large treatment plan from another office that you want reviewed
Benefits
- One plan, not patchwork. Every treatment is designed to fit with the others, so your bite works as a whole.
- Easier eating. Rebuilt and replaced teeth may make chewing more comfortable.
- A renewed smile. Restorations are shaped and shaded to look natural together.
- Comfort options. Local anesthesia, nitrous oxide and oral sedation are available for anxious patients.
- Clear on cost. Our financial team reviews insurance and payment options with you before treatment starts.
- Free second opinions. Bring us a plan from elsewhere and we will give you our honest view at no charge.
How It Works
What to expect, step by step.
- Exam and records. We take photos, X-rays, a CT scan and an intraoral scan, and talk about what you want from treatment.
- Your treatment plan. Dr. Gekht explains your options, the recommended order and the fees. Take the time you need to decide.
- Treatment in stages. Work is completed in stages. Crowns and bridges move quickly, while implants and other surgery need months of healing.
- Final restorations. Your permanent crowns, bridges or dentures are fitted and your bite is adjusted.
- Maintenance. Regular checkups and cleanings help your new teeth last.

Cost and Insurance
No two reconstructions cost the same. The fee depends on how many teeth are treated, which restorations you choose, and whether you need surgery such as extractions, implants or bone grafting. You receive a written plan with all fees before treatment begins, and it can often be staged over time.
Insurance may offset part of the cost, depending on your plan and its annual limit. We work to make the most of your benefits. We file claims with all PPO plans and are in network with Delta Dental Premier. Financing is available through CareCredit, Cherry, Wisetack and Proceed Finance. Free second opinions are available.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is full-mouth reconstruction?
It is a coordinated plan to restore most or all of your teeth. It combines treatments such as crowns, bridges, implants and dentures.
Who is a candidate?
People who have lost several teeth, lost parts of many teeth, or worn their teeth down through grinding. Your overall health matters too, since some procedures may not be suitable for every patient.
How long does it take?
It depends on the plan. Crowns and bridges can be completed fairly quickly. Plans that include implants or other surgery take longer because healing takes months.
Will I be comfortable during treatment?
Yes, that is our aim. Local anesthesia numbs the area being treated. Nitrous oxide and oral sedation are available if you feel anxious.
Can a general dentist do this?
Yes, with the right training. Dr. Gekht is a general dentist who has completed additional courses in this kind of care. Our team also includes a periodontist, Dr. Zuleidy Fernandez.
How long will the results last?
With good home care and regular checkups, restorations can last a long time. No dental work is guaranteed for life, and some pieces may need repair or replacement over the years.
Does insurance cover it?
Insurance may cover part of the treatment, depending on your plan. We file with all PPO plans and will estimate your benefits in advance.
Can I get a second opinion?
Yes. We offer free second opinions. Bring any X-rays or treatment plans you already have.
